About Lee Edelberg
With an interest in massage and other healing arts for many years, Lee trained formally in 2002 at the Amherst School of Massage Therapy (now “The Massage School”, in Easthampton, MA) where he received an education in Swedish, sports and neuro-muscular massage. His first Esalen experience though was in college where he met a massage therapist who had Esalen training. That encounter planted the idea of this unique and inspiring approach to massage. More recently he has trained directly at the Institute in Big Sur, CA, where he earned “Esalen® Massage Practitioner” certification. He continues to return to advance his studies and refine his technique. Lee grew up in Northampton, Massachusetts and has lived in Vermont, New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area. He returned to Western Massachusetts in 1991 to raise a family and has lived in Leverett since 2003. In addition to being a massage therapist he is a keyboard player and percussionist, and has an active interest in dancing salsa, tango and flamenco. He is a member of the Esalen® Massage & Bodywork Association (EMBA) and the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP). "Receiving a therapeutic massage from Lee is a special experience. He creates a safe and respectful environment for his clients, which is especially important to me as a woman. Lee is highly intuitive as well as skilled, which is a potent combination! I think you will enjoy working with him; I know I do." - L.A., artist, performer, Northampton, Mass. |
